Hello friends in Prairie to Pine Regional Council!

A line of people silhouetted against a sunset.Volunteers are the lifeblood of our Church and at the Regional level we rely on the wisdom and God-given talents that committed United Church people bring to our committees and working groups.

Right now we have five areas with openings, and we seek applications by March 31, 2021. These opportunities are not limited to church leaders and staff. All United Church people are invited to discern and apply for roles they feel called to.

Opportunities

  • Annual Meeting Planning Team: click here for full details.
  • Executive of Prairie to Pine Regional Council
  • Nominating Committee
  • Jubilee Fund Board
  • Commissioners to General Council 44, for 2022

The Nominations Committee looks forward to discerning who will serve in these roles. Thank you for considering yourself and sharing this invitation with others in your community and networks. Please also share through your church newsletters and worship slides or announcements.

How it works

Information about specific opportunities and the details of the job will be shared regularly through the newsletter, website, social media, and more. Here’s the Nominations page, where all opportunities will be listed. We have a number of opportunities that will be posted over the next month, so please check it regularly.

Please consider your gifts and skills, and those of your friends and colleagues. You might feel as though you are answering a spiritual call when you express interest in one of these positions; or you might be encouraged by friends and colleagues who recognize that your abilities might be the gifts that are needed at this time. We recognize that make us a stronger church, and we are committed to proactively addressing inequities and historic patterns of exclusion. Diversity includes racial and ethnic background, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, abilities, geographical location, vocation, language, or economic status.

If you’re ready to put your name in, or to recommend someone else’s name (with their permission), the form link is here. Or you can call the office and they will give you chair Betty Kelly’s phone number. Members of the Nominations Committee are always happy to talk through your interests and sense of call! Don’t ever hesitate to start a conversation. They can be reached through p2p.nominations@gmail.com

Blessings,
Betty Kelly, Chair, and the entire Prairie to Pine Nominating Committee:  Joey Dearborn, Eric Matheson, Teresa Melynchuk, and Anna Stewart.
