Property Forum. The Prairie to Pine Regional Council Property Commission is hosting a property forum on Wednesday, September 16, at 7:00 pm to discuss the future of property in Winnipeg via Zoom.
The evening will begin with a brief overview of options for church future development, followed by a panel-type discussion with representatives from some of the churches currently involved at different stages with development plans. There are currently six: Augustine, Charleswood, Churchill Park, St. Mary’s Road, Westminster and Westworth.
There would be brief 5-7 minute presentations on how initial decisions were made on what approach to take, the steps on the path then taken, the kinds and effort of leadership required, and the resources they have access to. This would be followed by a question-and-answer period. The second part would be an introduction to the building/congregation assessment form provided by UPRC.
As time permits, there will be an opportunity for conversation on future directions regarding property. The evening will be beneficial for church leadership, ministers and trustees. The focus will be primarily on urban churches, but all are welcome to attend. Please register by emailing ikt220@gmail.com
