Welcome to the United Church of Canada Archives for Prairie to Pine Regional Council, located at the University of Winnipeg.
Our Archives are available to the public. If you are interested in using our records, please reach out to schedule a research appointment or to submit a brief inquiry.
If you hold records related to the United Church of Canada, or its antecedent denominations, from Manitoba or Northwestern Ontario, and would like to donate the records, or would like information on how to care for them, then please also reach out.
Our records date back to the mid-1800s and were primarily created by the United Church of Canada and its antecedent denominations within the geographical boundaries of Manitoba and Northwestern Ontario (up to and including Marathon, ON). We also hold the high-level administrative records of the All Native Circle Conference, its Keewatin Presbytery, and the Sandy Saulteaux Spiritual Centre. The Archives also collects the records of ecumenical initiatives and the private papers of clergy and lay persons who have played a significant role in the life of the Church.
Erin Acland is our part-time Keeper of the Archives, and is happy to help you. Please make an appointment if you’d like to visit the Archives.

What does the archives hold?
Archivists create “finding aids” to help researchers understand what records we hold at the Archives. Many of our finding aids are listed on the Manitoba Archival Information Network (MAIN) database, but definitely not all. Please reach out and inquire if you think we may hold information you are looking for!
