About the Board

The Board of Regents meets monthly, and is in charge of the life of the University which includes The United Centre for Theological Studies (formerly Faculty of Theology), Aurora Family Therapy Centre, and the United Church Archives in the University Library.

The University of Winnipeg Board of Regents Board members are expected to attend Board meetings, held at least six times per year, and also serve on one or two Committees of the Board. Most meetings are held at the end of the regular working day, although there are occasional meetings held during the noon lunch period. Meetings are currently being held virtually, and will continue to be for the foreseeable future.

They use a Board Capacity Matrix to aid their final selection of board members, noting “We ask our Board members to complete this matrix annually, in order that we are able to identify gaps in skill sets, and attempt to fill these gaps during our appointment process”.

Please contact Nominating Committee chair Betty Kelly if you are interested or would like to suggest a name to the committee: p2p.nominations@gmail.com  The Nominating Committee can forward the matrix or the contact information for the University of Winnipeg Board of Regents.
