At the last P2P Conference in Winnipeg, Rev Brenda Gibson, myself and Grace Olson, a Lay Rep from Glenboro decided it would be nice for all of the people involved in the Agassiz Presbytery in our area to keep in touch.

As Crystal City was in the centre of most for driving, I agreed to link us all together for a lunch 2-3 times a year in the Rock Lake Pastoral Charge UC.

So approximately 15-20 people, ministerial staff and lay persons met twice last year and had a planned meeting in May 2020 which was cancelled due to COVID-19.

The churches/areas we covered and will continue to cover are; Portage, Neepawa, Glenboro, Holland, Manitou, Cartwright, Crystal City, Morden, Carberry and MacGregor.

A hand, holding a kettle, pouring water into a teacup. We brought our own lunch and RLPC served coffee and water. It was an awesome get together where we discussed our congregational challenges, regional changes and concerns and possible challenges, how to get youth back into the churches, as we all suffered the decreased attendance at Sunday School and youth groups were almost non existent.

Our Cluster meetings opened and closed with prayer, being shared by someone different each meeting. The meetings were very informal and only lasted 2 hours including lunch, 12:00 to 2:00 PM.

I look forward to getting our cluster groups functioning again in 2021. (If you would like to contact this Cluster, please do so through the Regional Council office, to protect online privacy. Please email Cherry at prairietopine@united-church.ca)
