Workshop on Unconscious Bias

Have you ever wondered what unconscious bias is? The Equity and Diversity team have contracted with Praxis (a Winnipeg MB group) to facilitate this webinar for the Tri-Region area.  We are encouraging Boards/Councils, M&P Committees, and CoF who are in the transition of becoming Affirming, to attend.  This webinar will give general information on what unconscious bias is about and will last approximately 90 minutes.

Your Equity and Diversity committee is excited to host an online workshop on Unconscious Bias, Monday, Nov. 17, at 7:30 pm CST, for 90 minutes. With trained resource people, we’ll focus on offering a very accessible, basic introduction to bias: what it is, how it can impact relationships between individuals and between communities, and how we can move past it to turn diversity into an asset instead of a perceived division.
