The Hymns We Sang, The Hymns We Still Sing: 100 years with Rev. Dr. Mac Watts

We invite you to a presentation by the Rev. Dr. Mac Watts entitled “The Hymns We Sang, The Hymns We Still Sing – Celebrating 100 years of Hymnody” on Tuesday, June 3 at 7:00 PM at Charleswood United Church, 4820 Roblin Blvd. Winnipeg Dr. Watts was ordained by the UCC in 1953 and, following pastorates and doctoral studies, enjoyed a long career as professor and Dean of Theology at the University of Winnipeg until his retirement in 1994. His passion for the music of our tradition led him to be a part of the Winnipeg Presbytery Hymn Worship Committee for 35 years. Mac will be accompanied at the organ on June 3 by Dorcas Windsor (though we will all have a chance to sing!).  A reception in the Van Roon Hall will follow the presentation. Charleswood United Church is a fully accessible building with ample parking.
