Mamawe Ota Askihk – Sharing Life Together Here on Earth

a spiritual gathering for land based learning

Spend a week with Indigenous and settler allies immersed in hands-on learning about growing, harvesting and preparing medicines and foods from the land. We will learn drum songs, smoke meat, go for a medicine walk, break down a beef quarter, sew skirts and more. All ages welcome! Register online here.

If the fees are a barrier to attendance:

• For non-Indigenous participants, , you might approach your church to ask if they would share in the cost as an extension of their work towards reconciliation.
• For Indigenous participants, inquire in your registration about access to bursary funding through the camp itself.
• For youth, there are a limited number of spots for 15 to 17 year old youth to come without caregivers to participate as a Neechi Camper.  Contact Twila for Neechi Camper info.
