“We Are All Treaty People”

“We Are All Treaty People” is an event organized and funded by the Prairie to Pine Region of The United Church of Canada, the Anglican Diocese of Rupert’s Land, Mennonite Central Committee Manitoba, and Winnipeg Quakers, in partnership with The Treaty Relations Commission of Manitoba.  The purpose of this event is to bring Indigenous folk, Settlers and Newcomers together to celebrate and honour our relationship with one another under the treaties signed by our ancestors. This year the event will feature Niigaan Sinclair, Allen Sutherland, Don Amero, Anne-Marie Williott, Ryan Richard, and Hinode Taiko Drummers.  These are speakers, singers, dancers, and drummers (Japanese drummers).  There will also be games and activities for all ages, crafters selling their wares and information tables.  There will be food and ceremony as well.
