March 15 @ 3:00 pm - 7:00 pm

Free

For our March event we are hosting a youth family movie screening and dinner. We will be attending the Winnipeg Freeze Frame festival held at Salle Pauline-Boutal Theatre (CCFM) 340 Provencher Boulevard. We will see the movie Uproar from 3pm-4:45pm.

Uproar is a coming-of-age tale of a 17-year-old Indigenous boy from New Zealand who is struggling to find his identity and voice while being faced with Racism both at school and the community when protest erupt.

We will then head to Grey Street United Church (651 Sandhurst Ave, East Elmwood) for Dinner and discussion about the movie (and a few mixer games for fun!) from 5-7pm.

Be aware this movie is rated PG-13 for language and Violence. Youth must have parent permission to attend and a ride from the theatre to the church. We recommend youth attend with a parent if possible. Youth of any age are welcome. If you are unsure about the movie please check out the reviews on this website or watch the Trailer here.

This Event is Completely Free thanks to the wonderful members of Grey Street United. Please register all family members that will be attending the event (and don’t forget to click the link in the form to reserve your tickets for the festival).
