The Wind Blows Benefit Concert, Thursday, March 26, Transcona Memorial United Church, 209 Yale Avenue West in Winnipeg. Rush seating. Admission by donation. Doors @ 6:00 p.m. Concert @ 7:00 p.m.
The Wind Blows Benefit Concert offers a way for people to respond to the insurgence of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) in Minnesota. The funds raised by this concert will be donated to The Minnesota Conference of The United Church of Christ’s Emergency Grant Program, which was created to both provide immediate need of food, medicine, rent assistance and other necessities for individuals and families who are afraid to leave their homes, and opportunities for respite and renewal of those leaders experiencing first- and second-hand trauma as they are caught in ICE actions as observers. More information about the Emergency Grant Program can be found by visiting www.uccmn.org.
The Wind Blows Benefit Concert provides local singers, songwriters and poets the opportunity to donate and share their craft, in an effort to raise awareness, call to action, create opportunities for healing, and inspire hope.
