Over the ensuing decades\, fascination with Eleanor and Father McKenzie has only grown. Who were they? Why were they lonely? \nThis year\, Interesting Theatre will provide our answers with Where They Come From: A Meditation on Eleanor Rigby\, written and directed by Tim Higgins. \nAct One will feature the Haskins Street Band as they explore the musical influences that informed the Fab Four’s remarkable creativity and led them to Eleanor. \nIn Act Two\, the company of Interesting Theatre tackles the questions more directly. The story is set in Winnipeg\, in the winter of 1920. Supported by The Elleston Trio\, you’ll watch two lives become intertwined in ways that neither could have imagined. \nWhere They Come From: A Meditation on Eleanor Rigby will be staged in the Sanctuary of Young United Church\, 222 Furby Street\, on Friday and Saturday\, April 1st and 2nd. Curtain is 7:30 both nights. Tickets are $20 (plus agency fees) and are available on EventBrite. Proof of vaccination and wearing of mask will be required.
