DESCRIPTION:June 14\, 2025\, Sacraments Elders Training via ZOOM\, 8; 30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. with a lunch break .Communities of Faith who do not have a called appointed Ministry Personnel or are in transition and may not have ministry personnel for a bit of time\, are encouraged to identify lay people for this training. For more about Sacraments Elders and their role please consult the handbook: https://united-church.ca/sites/default/files/handbook_sacraments-elders.pdf. Expression of interest for the training should be sent to Cherry Abad (cabad@united-church.ca) before May 22\, 2025. The Committee on Lay Ministry/Lay Leadership Support offers the course once or twice per year but only if there is sufficient need and interest.

DESCRIPTION:Prairie to Pine Regional Council invites its members to join the family and friends of those retiring from active ministry to attend an evening of feasting and celebration to be held on June 14\, 2025  at the United Church in Meadowood. Among those retiring this year are: Laurie Howard\, Beth Rutherford\, Sherri McConnell\, Margaret McCallum\, Caryn Douglas\, and Jeanne Bryan.  Tickets for the banquet will be available for purchase from Cherry Abad after May 06\, 2025.
