SUMMARY:Sing for Climate Justice!
DESCRIPTION:Multifaith Climate Action is hosting a singing rally to face the powers of climate-destructive finance with the strength of song! \nCome out and join the Restorative Banking Choir at noon on Tuesday March 21st\, in front of the Royal Bank of Canada branch at 1700 Corydon Ave. \nRBC is one of the biggest climate offenders among banks\, directing huge amounts of money towards new oil and gas development and hastening climate breakdown. Therefore\, March 21st has been designated Move Your Money Day\, with events taking place all over Turtle Island to hold the banks accountable. We will gather in a spirit of nonviolence\, share information\, and sing of the world that we want to invest in. There will be preparatory gatherings (March 5\, 2:00 pm at St. Mary’s Road UC and March 19\, 2:00 pm at Home Street Mennonite Church) for those who would like to help write lyrics and do some rehearsing\, but feel free to just bring yourself on the 21st! RSVP to the facebook event here. \n
